For Thanksgiving we went to my parents house in San Diego.
that is until he got caught picking flowers...don't take my picture mom, I was just smelling them, REALLY!?!
Porter also found lots of friends in the yard... first a turtle, then some squirrels, then a rabbit... he moved them around and made them all friends. He even introduced them to his friend Thomas the Train (middle picture)
On Thanksgiving day before dinner we took Porter to a train park in Poway. Porter loved it... he didn't however love the no trespassing signs...
I'm reading the sign, not believing the sign, I'm getting on this train even if it gets me in trouble!
hurry mom take a picture I'm on a real train!
Porter loved playing with these big leaves, playing on the train wheels and walking on the train tracks... he could have stayed all day... but there was dinner to eat!
More pictures from the train park.
two little monkeys sitting in a tree...
Then we went home to get dinner ready...
Avery took a pre dinner nap...
she looks so peaceful... I would love to sleep like this sometime!
not sure where the pictures of dinner are (forgot to take some), but it was yummy!
The day after we all went down to the dog beach in Coronado.
Porter loved playing in the sand... he tried to make sand angels (he had sand EVERYWHERE). He also helped Aunt Melissa by knocking down every castle she built
(gotta love boys... so destructive)
and of course we threw the ball and played in the water with Sadie
hmm what is this... it tastes good... verdict: love it
sand covered toes
first steps in the ocean... you wouldn't know it was freezing, she thought it was great.
Since Great Grandma Bird (I mean Grandma Jo) couldn't make the trip we took the kids to visit her in Las Vegas/Henderson on the way home.
Porter (and Bryce) helped grandma put up her christmas lights and christmas tree... he found a few pumpkin faces that he thought would make the tree perfect =) funny kid.
Pictures with grandma... no one but mom wanted these pictures...
pretty good considering the fight everyone put up.
pretty good considering the fight everyone put up.
It was a great trip, but we were glad to get home and sleep in our beds.
(Porter sleeping with Thomas... he doesn't love that train at all!)
