Avery woke up this morning with her first 'shiner' courtesy of her brother... we still aren't sure what exactly happen, but Porter was jumping off furniture and he tends to throw things as he jumps (two things I am trying to put an end to).... then a scream and a little bruise mark under her eye... just in time to go to a family reunion/baby blessing... Bryce says at least no one as busted their face (yet) like the day before Avery's blessing last year.

This is what packing for Utah looks like... me avoiding doing anything related to it... I wanted to show grandma her new pigtails, but facebook wasn't cooperating it was taking forever to upload a picture. Wouldn't have thought a blog post would take less time.

Avery loved father's day when dad made ribs, yum yum!...
Porter needs pictures taken anytime we take one of sister...
Avery is obsessed with using a fork, a real fork, the food must be put in her mouth by her or she has to take the food off and start over again

Porter is obsessed with wearing this motorcycle helmet of Bryce's when he rides his tricycle, its way heavy for his size, but he insists.

Avery loves to dance to everything these days... pretty cute:

Porter an Avery have become good friends lately (FINALLY!)... Porter will allow her to snuggle with him before nap time which she LOVES. She has been trying to since the day she was born. She wants to sleep in his bed, but he insists after about 30 seconds... 'Avery sleep in her bed, please, please.' Bathtime is when they really play well splashing a ton... and if brother is zoned out enough watching a movie she will scoot over right next to him and sit as close as she possibly can without getting in trouble. Pictures of all this cuteness hasn't happened yet because as soon as I go to the camera they quickly put an end to it. I do have this video though:

Now I need to find something else to do beside pack... since that really is the one thing I need to do right now, why do I avoid it so much... its not like its hard to do!

Fun weekend in Utah ahead... its been over 2 years since we went and 5 years since the magical summer when Bryce and I started dated... too bad we aren't wakeboarding, rock climbing, going to movies, eating out, staying up way too late, camping etc like we did back then instead we'll travel 11 hours with 2 probably crying children, but there will be lots of food, fun and family ahead!

update?

What have we been up to? It has been a month sine I posted and I can't really say that its been anything super exciting... at least from the number of pictures added to my camera not much. Bryce went with the YM to California for High Adventure and stayed on the Naval Base in Pt. Loma and had a blast doing tons of fun things while I held down the fort here in AZ. They stayed on the base, ate in the galey, saw the Cabrillo Monument, visited the Mormon Batallion Center, went to the beach, toured a submarine, and so many other things that I can't think of right now... pretty good grop of boys, lots of fun!

But we missed Daddy!
Bryce's dad went with them on high adventure (he was in the Navy and Bryce knew we would thoroughly enjoy the trip). He ended up in the ER the night they returned and had his gall bladder out the next day... never a dull moment. We are SO grateful that everything worked out the way it did so that he was able to get things taken care of and get him back on track for doing what he loves best... being with his family!

Since then Bryce has been working and the kids and I have been doing what we always do... story time, kids club, we started swimming, etc. When we have done fun things like go to a storytime with the Wild Life Word Zoo where Porter saw a snake, a water bug, a salamander, a baby alligator, a toad, and a snapping turtle (he talks about it all the time now) I didn't bring my camera. opps! Oh well. The kids are growing like weeds and hopefully before long the summer will have slipped past and it won't be SO hot!

(Porter has actually started to possibly 'like' his sister... i'm keeping my fingers crossed)
Porter is as goofy as ever...
Below is a video of him singing one morning... I'm grateful those are the only words he knows to that song =)

Enjoy! I will try harder for more pictures of fun, but I make NO promises!
