A Little Bit of Celebrating

Its been a fun time recently... Grandpa and Grandma Bird came to visit because Brian (a family friend) graduated from ASU. We got to have a yummy dinner at Buca de Beppo. Paul and Jeannie were worried about my kids liking the food... definately NOT a issue.
Andrew, Brian (the graduate), and his cousin
(cannnot believe he is all grown up)
Porter pounding mounds of spaghetti... he ate SO much!
Avery didn't let having no teeth stop her she ate the alfredo variety...
you should have seen the look on her face when they set down the chocolate cake...
she was jumping out of her seat!
it WAS yummy!
Thanks for a wonderful dinner, and the wonderful leftovers!
So glad we could celebrate with you and so glad my children behaved!
Next Up my little girl turned 1!
Yeah can you believe it... its gone by way too fast!
I attempted a butterfly cake...
better than the train cake attempt on Porter's birthday. I'm learning slowly but surely.
and slowly but surely she decided to try it
(funny how hesitant she was considering how she dug into a cake a few days before!)
Her favorite part... the tart candies. Crazy girl!
She still hardly ate any of it...
just more proof that boys and girls are different.
Remember Porter's 1st birthday... cute monkey cake:
destroyed and devoured by my little monkey!
(how did he get so big!)
Avery got some great presents... we got her a little Violet doll (with pampers points, yay!)
it sings songs and plays games... she LOVES it!
(and she loved the water cooler when Violet fell on the floor) not tough to please (sometimes!)
the days of dress up have begun... she wanted Violet to wear her shoes!
Grandpa and Grandma got her cute butterfly sheets for her bed and a little doll w/a bottle. Somehow she knew just what to do... she hugged it then started to feed her. She tries to take it with her everywhere... I think she's still a baby, but my baby has a baby doll now!
And on her actual birthday she got pancakes... she was a little bugged that I didn't make banana pancakes (I have made them a lot recently, but not today!) This girl LOVES her bananas.

THE END (of the birthday celebration)
I finally finished the blanket for my sisters baby girl who should come REAL soon!
Avery has been eyeing it the whole time... I put it with my parents things so they could take it to her... Avery was NOT happy about it she kept trying to take it out and sneak it away! She has a pink one just like it... anything girly is hers!

Random cuteness:
Avery loves her tongue and her little ducky
funny kids!
