today: Porter finally ventured out the doggie door... I wouldn't let him play outside in 110 degree weather (i'm a mean mom), so he went out the dog door, but quickly came back inside, mom was right its too hot outside.

Porter is obsessed with piano's... if we sit on that side during sacrament meeting he will repeat the word and point at it over and over for about 5 minutes. He also loves the show 'Word World,' we watch it while we have lunch everyday so that he knows its about nap time. Today the second story line in the episode came on and it is where the frog and duck build a piano but it falls in the lake... and then they rebuild it by spelling the word piano... despite the repair this upsets Porter a ton (at least it had the time he saw it before)... today before they could even build the piano Porter started crying hysterically until I took him out of his high chair... then he ran and hid in the corner until I turned it off... crazy kid!

Then during naptime I got busy and didn't fall asleep until just before he woke up... so when he came in I quickly put on a movie and tried to keep sleeping for just a few more minutes... I could hear him bring in books for me to read, and toys. Then he was gone for a few minutes and he came back and came to the side of the bed where I was sleeping and said 'mmmm mom, its good' probably with sadies help he got the box of costco cookies down and helped himself. Needless to say I decided to get up and keep a better eye on him before he got into 'real' trouble.

Porter and Sadie have become quite the playmates and work as a 'team.' Porter uses Sadie to get up on the counters and they rough house quite often-- Porter lovingly pulls Sadies tail, to get her to play, then chase each other around... it's pretty cute.
Sadie giving Porter a little 'boost'
insert: cute video of Sadie chasing Porter (it won't load it, i've tried 3 times, grr!)
For the 4th of July we didn't do a whole lot, but eat some good food, hung out in the air conditioning and we went to the pool... we tried to kick off the 4th by going swimming the night before but we got all dressed and rain and lightning started before we could get there... Porter was devastated... so Dad, Porter and Avery swam in the bath tub instead!
loving the goggles lately
hanging out in the tub (she loves the water)

Avery in part of her 4th of July outfit... she isn't quite big enough and if we had been going anywhere I would have turned this into a dress (sorry Auntie Missa, she still working on the growing thing, but she did wear it most of the day)

lookin up at her daddy =)
she just stares and stares at whoever is holding her
holding on tight...
if she is laying by herself she'll spit out the pacifier and then when you come to put it back in for her she will grab on so you can't leave, cute =)
Here's a look at this crazy little boy (he's holding a arrow left over from making arrows of light for the webelos): (This is Bryce, YOU NEED to watch this even though it starts slow, it's worth it)
Never a dull moment these days, they are growing up SO fast.
